USB-DDC 24/192

Tips

  • In order to play music files, you need a suitable music player program. We have had good results with iTunes and Pure Music Player (Mac) and Foobar or J.River Media Center (Windows). Of course, you can also use other media players.

  • For the optimum sound quality, you should only adjust the volume level on the connected amplifier. The volume on the PC or Mac should always be set to the maximum.

  • If the connection between the computer and the USB-DDC happens to be interrupted during operation, you must close the music player program and restart it once the USB-DDC has been reconnected.

  • You can store your data as uncompressed files such as WAV or AIFF, although these file formats do not offer the convenience of compressed formats like FLAC or Apple Lossless. As well as helping to reduce storage space, these formats can include additional information (meta data) to help you browse and organize your music collection. In our experience, lossless compression does not affect sound quality.

Tricks

Jumper Setting USB‐DDC for operating in High Speed Mode

Please note:

Setting the device to 24/192 does not improve the sound quality if you play back music files up to 24/96. In fact, the opposite is true: 24/96 mode sounds better and system requirements like CPU usage are much lower.

We recommend to use 24/192 mode for playback only if you really want to play native files in 24/192!
